Among the top dozen examples seen at PCGS, this is a beautiful Condition Census level 1915-S nickel in borderline SUPERB grade in tied for second finest seen at that service. WOW! Does this borderline SUPERB GEM boast a chiseled strike! Every single detail is sharply impressed, with crisp definition on both sides. A strong, satiny mint frost glows boldly under a totally original mix of pewter and iridescent pastel hues. The surfaces are pristine, virtually flawless and this coin has an ultra high end look! PCGS 40, NGC 33, CAC 14. There are only a half a dozen examples graded MS66+ and the same number are graded MS67 finer. The last two examples sold for $8,400, the most recent in July 2022. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $12,500 and it jumps to $50,000 in MS67. Do not let this beautifully preserved example pass you by, especially if you are working on a very high end set. Cert. Number 45456818 PCGS # 3929
