WOW! What a marvelous PQ GEM example of this low mintage late date Seated issue. Only 5,000 examples were struck, as all three mints focused their attention to churning out silver dollars. This is the only MS66+ graded by either service and it is truly deserving of its lofty grade assigned. Impressive luster radiates through classic amber-rose and aqua-blue toning that caresses the satiny smooth surfaces on both sides. Sharply struck up devices stand out boldly and the surfaces show few if any marks that preclude an even higher grade and the eye appeal is spectacular. PCGS 15, NGC 9, CAC 6. As said, this is the ONLY 66+ graded by either service, and it has not sold in auction. The most recent PCGS MS66 CAC sold in December 2019 for $6,300 and the most recent PCGS MS67 CAC sold for $20,400. The current Collectors Universe value of $12,500 is essentially the average of the last two APRs, and we would not be shocked if this essentially SUPERB GEM brought around that amount. Only seven have ever graded higher, bid accordingly! Cert. Number 81630216 PCGS # 6369
