1878 Morgan Silver Dollar. 8 Tailfeathers. Proof-65 (PCGS). Intense toning on the obverse that blends crimson, lilac, blue, green and russet over a base of copper-silver while the reverse is lighter with a layer of rose-teal. Fully reflective fields and carefully preserved since the time of issue. One of 500 initial proofs struck with the 8 Tailfeathers reverse, I(N) touches wing and Liberty's ear shows the two outer folds equally thick. Seldom offered and highly desirable as the first year of issue of the Morgan silver dollar.<br /> <br /> <strong>Numismatic Reflections by Q.
