详细说明: N-8, Rarity-2. Fully lustrous, a borderline Mint State example of this popular overdate large cent. Soft brown color combines with tinges of original red color and light accents of violet tone. Sharply struck on both sides, the surfaces show just a touch of friction on both the highest points, only perceptible with a strong glass. The eye appeal is excellent and at a time when grading was less tight, this coin would lightly have been called Mint State. PCGS 3, NGC 5, CAC 3. This is the ONLY AU58+ graded and it has not appeared in auction; nor has any PCGS AU58. The most recent comps are as follows: A non-CAC PCGS AU55 sold for $4,113 in June 2017 and a non-CAC PCGS MS62 sold for $9,250 in an internet auction in April 2017. In AU58, the PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,500 and this coin, with its outstanding visual allure will bring a serious bid from the serious EAC collector working on a top "everyman" set.
