A high end, totally original and eye appealing GEM Proof Barber! Hard, watery reflective mirrors possess a bold, vibrant flash that captures the subtle hues in the toning. The color is soft and iridescent that is dusted in a dappled pattern on the icy-smooth surfaces. The devices are glossy, characteristic of the date, and unlike many survivors of this date, the presently offered coin has a great visual allure. Only 627 Proofs were struck for collectors. PCGS 28, NGC 30, CAC 5. The only CAC approved PR66 sold in a November 2012 auction, realizing $4,700. Since then, Barber halves have been unfairly treated by the market.
