A condition rarity that is NOT GENERIC. This is a WOW coin! The semi-proof like obverse fields combine with lightly frosted devices for a near cameo effect. The reverse is more satiny than reflective and is similarly attractive. The needle sharp strike is boldly detailed. Light doubling can be noted on the ‘S’ mintmark. Among the very best coins of this date to come to market. PCGS 82, NGC 114, CAC 19. Includes 3 coins graded 65+ by PCGS. Only 20 graded higher (66-17, 67-3). The PCGS price guide values MS65 at $2,100 and MS66 at $11,500. An MS65 CAC (NOT+) sold at auction for $3,000 in June 2018; MS66 coins (not CAC or +) have auctioned for over $7,000.
