FROM THE YOUNG-DAKOTA COLLECTION This is one heck of a SUPERB GEM Proof 1907 half , and is one of the highest graded at PCGS, bettered by just two coins. Superior, deep mirrors have amazing clarity, cleanliness, and bold reflectivity. This is not a dipped or retoned album coin. Both sides have an even, moderate coating of original golden brown/pale olive/pale russet colors evenly spread all over. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike. The eye appeal is great! Only 575 Proofs were struck. PCGS 11, NGC 9, CAC 8. The last one to sell realized $4,730 in our August 2018 Premier Session. This is the former Col. Green-Eric Newman coin that we sold in February 2015 for $6,169. Today's Collectors Universe value is $5,250. Keep in mind that anything finer will likely cost into the five figures.
