THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION, PART IV A GEM 77-CC half dollar, RARE at this state of preservation and VERY much so any finer! Thick, creamy mint frost glows boldly on both sides. Hints of pale gold are suffused over the satiny brilliance giving this GEM a pearly sheen. The strike is crisp on both sides. A glass reveals some minor lines and ticks that can be found with effort, but they have limited impact on the eye appeal. PCGS 8, NGC 11. The most recent example sold in October 2018, realizing $5,040. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $7,500. PCGS has graded just a bakers' dozen finer.
