1872-CC Liberty Half Eagle. VG-8 (NGC). Bright gold throughout and without any signs of toning. Despite a generous dose of circulation all the devices are intact, full rims and a reasonable amount of definition. Mintage of 16,980 pieces with survival rates very low and precious few survived at all, perhaps 100 or so from this original mintage. Remarkably smooth surfaces that show no deep digs or scratches of any consequence. A desirable example of this rarity.
