A truly outstanding SUPERB example of the first year of the Barber quarter series in an exceptional high grade. Bordering on Deep Cameo contrast, the mirrors are clean, smooth, icy, and offer extremely brilliant reflection with an amazing depth of clarity. Blazing untoned surfaces have a dramatic contrast between the reflective fields and the thickly frosted white reliefs. There is a single tiny planchet flaw on the reverse that we note for accuracy, otherwise the surfaces are essentially PRISTINE. The eye appeal is awesome! PCGS 15, NGC 16. Only four have attained NGC's coveted "*" designation for eye appeal. The most recent NGC-graded PR67 CAM sold for $4,920 in July 2022; the first example graded by NGC to sell since 2016! The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $5,500. NGC has graded just 8 finer in the CAMEO designation. This coin will be eagerly sought when it crosses the block. Cert.
