- FROM THE SEATTLE COLLECTION The FINEST graded example of this VERY RARE pattern issue, we think this is the one from the March 1981 Bowers and Ruddy auction, lot 618, though the half tone image is hard to match exactly. A HIGH RARITY-7, there are just two graded by PCGS in any grade, and this one is very high end. Struck in aluminum with the regular issue dies, this was part of a copper and aluminum off-metal set. GEM quality everything identifies this excessively rare die trial. Deeply mirrored fields are beaming with bold reflection that accents the highly frosted devices on both sides. The eye appeal is simply stunning. PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. Neither this one, nor the Cat Daddy-Bob Simpson PR64 DCAM have sold in auction (the Cat Daddy Collection was sold in Stack's November 2007, and the coin did not make reserve). This one sold for $5,875 in April 2015. Unpriced in Collectors Universe, this is a very important opportunity for any Pattern specialist! Cert. Number 6647112 PCGS # 800040.00
