- 1901 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-64 (PCGS). Boldly patinated in dusky sandy-gold, both sides reveal more vivid gold, pink, blue and antique silver undertones as the surfaces dip into a light. A smartly impressed specimen with a brightly reflective finish readily evident as direct viewing angles. Due to the rarity of well preserved circulation strike 1901 silver dollars, high grade survivors of the year's 813-piece Proof issue such as the present near-Gem enjoy heightened demand among quality conscious Morgan collectors.
