FROM THE DR. STEPHEN DAVIDSON COLLECTION A classic old time collector quality Proof Seated Liberty half dollar. Watery reflective mirrors shimmer below a layer of antique gold and rich azure hues that are deeper at the peripheries and just kiss the central surfaces. Showing the typical strike for the issue, with just some softness in areas. This has a wonderful near-GEM look that will delight any collector. Only 700 Proofs were struck. PCGS 50, NGC 40, CAC 7. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $1,700. This coin's last auction appearance was in December 2014 for $1,800. Nice and fresh to the market we know it will bring a strong bid today.
