- THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION, PART IV This is a great looking, original, near-GEM example of this popular Carson City mint issue. Well struck, frosty, and lustrous, this very CHOICE example has a hint of delicate gold. The dies were cracked and clashed when this lovely coin was struck. The surfaces are generally clean and free of distracting marks of any kind. The eye appeal is excellent. PCGS 58, NGC 42, CAC 12. The last PCGS MS64 CAC sold for $4,700 in our May 2021 Regency Auction 45. This lovely coin will likely bring more. The current Collectors Universe value is $4,750 and the CAC CPG value is listed at $6,000. Scarce finer, this near-GEM will fit nicely in any great set of Seated Liberty half dollars. Cert.
