- Original mintage of 36,026. The first one-dollar denomination commemorative issued. Extremely popular and the only silver dollar in the classic commem series. Most high grade examples of this type are unattractively toned - likely the result of the rinse or wash that the planchets received prior to striking. The present example, however, retains amazing color and eye appeal. Sweeping crimson, sea foam green, pale oranges and mauve colors intermingle beautifully. PCGS has rightfully granted their Plus Grade designation.
