Totally original! Extremely handsome! Neat! These are just some ways to describe this borderline GEM 1883 Proof Morgan dollar. Watery reflective mirrored fields catch the light just right and when they do, they flash nicely, bringing out the rainbow toning at the upper obverse periphery. Deep pewter, slate-blue, and rose dominate both sides, attesting to long term unmolested storage in an old paper envelope or some similar holder. The fields and devices are smooth and free of distracting lines or discolorations of any kind. The eye appeal is quite pleasing. Only 1,039 Proofs were struck. PCGS 69, NGC 65, CAC 10. This is the ONLY PR64+ graded at either service and has not been sold in auction since March 2011! The current PCGS Price Guide value of $5,000 seems low, and only time will tell when the hammer falls by how much. Good luck! Cert. Number 18437313 PCGS # 7318
