详细说明: Ex Col. E.H.R. Green and Eric Newman Collection, as noted on the insert. The Type 2 Reverse is defined by the lack of an olive on the branch below the eagle's talon. This GEM is totally original and offers a rich, thick, frosty silver-gray patination overall with scattered dappled accents of pearly dove, pale olive, soft gold, and iridescent accents acquired over many decades in storage in an old envelope. There is a brilliant, satiny luster that glows boldly from below the layer of toning, that really helps the subtler shades pop. The devices are generally well struck throughout with only minor softness seen and the surfaces are uber clean for the assigned grade with no serious marks or lines. PCGS 29, NGC 33, CAC 10. The most recent example sold for $7,800 back in September 2018; this coin brought $15,863 in November 2013 and $8,225 in the 2017 FUN auction. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $9,000 and the CAC CPG value is $8,880. This is a fantastic old time looking GEM with a classic look and bold quality. Cert.
