- Perennially underrated, 1883-S has long held semi-key status in higher grades, making it a classic grade-rarity. Dusky violet-peach and smoky rose layer over the entire surface but cannot suppress wonderfully prominent, wind milling luster. While not fully struck, decent intricacy shows everywhere except at the very center of each side.
