- (t) CHINA. Kiangnan. 10 Cash, CD (1904). PCGS MS-64+ Brown Gold Shield. CL-KN.24; KM-Y-135.5; CCC-205; Duan-481. Variety with 8 short tails on flying dragon. The single second finest certified of the variety on the PCGS population report, one only finer (MS 65 BN). This incredible looking survivor exudes originality with smooth silky chocolate brown surfaces accentuated by a lovely iridescent sheen and hints of magenta amongst the devices. Clearly this example was plucked from circulation early on and given great care sure to see spirited bidding from many collectors. Estimate: $1,500 - $2,500.
