High end, beautiful, lustrous, and original: these are just a few words that come to mind when we view this awesome Seated half dollar. Rich sunset toning shows shades of crimson, gold, amber, and tangerine that blend marvelously together over the satiny lustrous surfaces. There are a few deeper toning dots on the reverse. The devices are sharply struck and are fully frosted, they stand out against the ultra smooth problem free surfaces. The eye appeal is very bold. PCGS 15, NGC 6. The most recent example to sell in auction realized $12,600 in November 2017 and the current PCGS value is listed at $21,000. There are just four coins graded finer, 2 in 66+ and 2 in 67.
