详细说明: From the Blue Hill Collection, as noted on the insert. One of the most famous of all the Lincoln cents, and a KEY issue in this ever popular series. The present GEM ranks among the FINEST graded by PCGS in the BN designation. Looking at this coin shows how the color categories assigned by the grading services do not always do justice to coins with incredible color. This lovely MS65 BN has a wealth of original mint red color that mingles with orange, blue, violet, and gold that accents warm brown. There are a few tiny ticks that we note with a strong glass, which also reveals a carbon fleck on the reverse, which we note for full disclosure. The eye appeal is exceptional with a bold array of colors that delight the viewer's gaze. PCGS 12, NGC 15. PCGS has graded just a single MS66 BN finer in the category. There is a wide range of APRs for PCGS MS65 BNs, the most recent example sold in the 2017 ANA auction for $5,875, but before that, none had sold since 2014, when two examples sold, including the one in our February Regency Auction for $7,638. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $7,500. The single MS66 BN sold in September 2016 for $30,550. What a great coin for the Registry collector. Cert. Number 84009307 PCGS # 2825.00
