An impressive and totally original GEM Proof example from this important Civil War year. Bold, watery reflective surfaces have a wonderful tan gold coloration with hints of reflective iridescent tones. The devices are sharp and frosty conferring this GEM a great look. Only 370 Proofs were struck. PCGS 47, NGC 22, CAC 6. The last one to sell brought $2,925 in September 2017, which is above the current published levels. Even a non-CAC coin sold in May 2019 for $3,240. Fewer than a dozen are graded finer in the category. We like the look and it should see strong bidding. Good luck. Cert. Number 43063973 PCGS # 2265
