- 1896-S Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-63 (NGC). Intensely lustrous frosty-white surfaces are free of even the lightest toning. Sharply struck, as well, and sure to appeal to advanced Morgan dollar enthusiasts. The key date 1896-S is far scarcer in Mint State than a mintage of 5,000,000 coins might imply and, for the assigned grade, one would be hard pressed to improve upon this flashy piece.
