- 1796 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. B-4, BB-61. Rarity-3. BB Die State I. Small Date, Large Letters. VF-35 (PCGS). Light to medium silver in color with the surfaces generally smooth and uniform in color. Clean rims and free of adjustment marks, there is just one small dig which is tucked into the base feather of the left wing of the eagle that warrants mention for identification purposes. A scarce type issue, as the Draped Bust, Small Eagle design was issued just two full years and a few months more on either end. Today these classical coins are perfect representatives of our early Federal era. PCGS# 6860. Provenance: From the Carl and Josephine Legacy Collection.
