THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION GEM QUALITY. Scarce in this terrific state of preservation. Chiseled design elements are surrounded by rich, satin like surfaces exhibiting thick, frosty luster and brilliance. Under a powerful loupe a couple of small tick marks are seen on Liberty’s body but the fields are amazingly free of abrasions. LOVELY. PCGS 15, NGC 11. Just 14 coins exist in higher grades with the finest being an MS67 NGC specimen. The last time a non-CAC example sold at auction was in October 2015 where it sold for $2,938 and it was toned. However, a satiny white piece sold in an NGC holder in September 2020 for $3,658. This just emphasizes what we have been saying about the void and demand in the marketplace for nice white Seated Halves. Plan to bid accordingly as this coin will most likely fetch a handsome price.
