- 1794 Liberty Cap Cent. S-72. Rarity-2. Head of 1795. VF-30 (PCGS). Among the various die varieties of the Head of 1795 type, the present Sheldon 72 obverse die is referred to as the "Exact Head of 1795" as its hair detail and overall style most closely resemble the portraits on the following year's cents. This is a bold mid-grade example with the great strike this variety is known for. Olive brown with highlights of rose and sea green. Only minor signs of handling.
