FROM THE DR. STEPHEN DAVIDSON COLLECTION This is an extremely eye appealing near-GEM Cameo Proof example of the type. Incredibly reflective, watery mirrors beam and gleam all over on this lovely Proof Seated Liberty silver dollar. The mirrored fields are wonderfully watery and icy smooth. Both sides are framed at the extreme periphery, highlighting the vivid silver brilliance. Sharply struck and thickly frosted devices stand out with a bold Cameo contrast. Some light lines are seen on both sides, which might account for CAC not beaning this beautiful, VERY CHOICE example. We do really like the way this coin looks. Only 625 Proofs were struck. PCGS 23, NGC 17. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $8,500. The eye appeal of this Cameo Proof is bold and will sell for a premium bid.
