- 1824 Matron Head Cent. N-2. Rarity-2. MS-61 BN (PCGS). This lovely example sports dominant olive-copper-brown patina over surfaces that are smooth and hard overall. Satiny in texture with a pronounced glossy appearance and with all major design elements sharp and the obverse border fully denticulated, this is a thoroughly appealing Mint State example of the semi-key 1824 Matron Head cent. Noyes Die State A/A, with minute rust pits on Liberty's neck around and below the ear and on the reverse in the field above the word ONE. Provenance: From the Abernathy Collection. PCGS# 1636.
