This SUPERB GEM PROOF has deeply mirrored fields and a glittering mostly white obverse with peripheral blue-gold highlights. The reverse is evenly toned in rose gold. A modest 450 Proofs were struck in this last year of issue for Charles Barber’s design. A low Philadelphia Mint business strike mintage of 138,000 adds to collector demand for this date. PCGS 9, NGC 13, only 12 finer. Although the Price Guide lists the value at $5,250, results at auction are consistently in the range of $6,000-8,000. Last NGC PF67 auctioned realized $6,300 in April 2018. Among the finest known proofs and likely to elicit spirited bidding. Cert. Number 622677-015 PCGS # 6562
