1723/2 Wood's Hibernia Halfpenny. Martin 4.60-Da.1, W-12850. Rarity-2. AU-55 (PCGS). 110 grains. This is a fairly early die state although the obverse is sharply clashed at the top, and the strike is crisp. Deep brown in color but free of roughness of spots on either side. The reverse is an early die state as well with the crack above the date just starting. These overdate issues are always sought-after by major type and variety collectors.
