- 1920-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar. MS-63 (PCGS). A lovely example with superior quality and eye appeal even at the Choice Mint State grade level. Both sides are bathed in billowy mint luster, the peripheries with delicate iridescent gold toning that frames otherwise brilliant surfaces. Sharply struck throughout the design, and significantly so for a Denver Mint half dollar from the early Walking Liberty series, this coin is sure to see spirited bidding among astute collectors. One of the more underrated issues of its type, the 1920-D is not only a significant strike rarity, but it is also the fifth rarest Walking Liberty half dollar in terms of total number of Mint State coins known.
