CLASSIC RARITY! Wow, super clean fields, devoid of contact marks, scratches or dings. Quite astonishing when you consider this piece has seen extensive circulation. Probably very lightly wiped or cleaned at one point in it's lifetime but has subsequently toned in dove gray hues throughout. Sharp strike, especially on the obverse in the delineation of the hair strand details. PCGS 604, NGC 236. In June of this year an example traded for $6,600 and another in May 2023 fetched $5,160.
