- Deep ebony-brown enhances the appearance of being a truly original example, and the surface exhibits highly attractive, slightly glossy texture that couldn't be nicer for a near-mint Lincoln cent. Very slight attrition of the pinpoint details leads to the conclusion that the coin circulated briefly, but commerce was gentle and kind, and brought with it no marks or contact worthy of note. A boldly detailed, beautiful example.
