THE CORINTH COLLECTION An exceptional quality GEM example from the final year of the Capped Bust dime series. A stunning JR-2, this coin is very sharply struck and boldly lustrous. Unlike many examples of the type, this coin is very high end and original. A strong underlying pearlescent luster highlights the light mottled golden-tan overtones. The reverse die was cracked, with numerous cracks at the lower reverse. The surfaces are generally clean, and we have seen higher grade coins that are of lower quality. We love the look of this coin and you will too. Housed in a first generation "rattler" holder. PCGS 28, NGC 22, CAC 6. Go ahead and ignore the Price Guide values and prior auction records, as they do not apply to a coin like this. The CAC CPG value is $4,380. A non-CAC PCGS MS64+ sold for $4,560 in March 2021 and a PCGS MS65 CAC (the ex Gardner coin) sold for $15,600 in January 2021. This beauty is worthy of a very strong bid for sure! Good luck. Cert.
