- Mostly brilliant, beautiful, and above average in striking sharpness. A lovely example of this Denver Mint issue. Forming a collection of Liberty Walking half dollars at the Gem level is a challenge that can be met with some patience. All varieties from 1933-S to 1947-D are available, with none being priced out of sight. However, beginning significantly with 1940-S, and continuing through a number of later issues, many are very sharply struck.
