- A visually engaging piece, generally well struck for the die state, which is advanced and shows an expanded obverse break at the upper left corner of the clock, general softness through the centers on both sides. Centering is good, but portions of the peripheral lettering are missing due to shallow curved clips at 4 o'clock and 11 o'clock relative to the obverse. The obverse is warmly toned in chestnut brown, reverse darker in steel and deep rose-brown. There are a few minor scratches on the latter side, obverse with a particularly notable concentration of scratches in the field to the right of the clock. A pleasing piece, nonetheless, and sure to sell for a solid bid to an advanced collector.
