1799 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. B-13, BB-151. Rarity-5. BB Die State II. Irregular Date, 13-Star Reverse. EF-45 (PCGS). CAC. This is one of the rarest die pairings of the year with few high grade examples known today. Here is one of the finer ones reported, which should entice bidding from knowledgeable collectors who demand Condition Census quality as this is certainly one of the top six known of the variety. The obverse and reverse are evenly toned with light golden-gray patina, and the surfaces are average when closely examined with a strong loupe.
