- Here is a late date rarity in the $10 Lib series, one that does not appear at auction with any frequency in mint state. Pleasing luster and only lightly abraded surfaces, this coin is actually nicer than would be expected for the MS60 grade. David Hall notes in PCGS CoinFacts that this date is very rare and very underrated in Mint State, we cannot agree more! PCGS 4, NGC 6. Here is a clue to the rarity of this date/grade, the last PCGS MS60 to sell was in November 1999, and even then it realized nearly $2,600. More recently a PCGS AU58 brought $1,840 in December 2011 and in March 2014 a PCGS MS61 sold for nearly $10,000! The MS60 CU value is $4,500.
