FROM THE YOUNG-DAKOTA COLLECTION. What a gorgeous coin! The is a stone bold black and white DCAM! Highly reflective fields are the epitome of smoothness and clarity, with an amazing depth. The reliefs are boldly frosted and fully struck up, contrasting wonderfully against deep beaming mirrors. A band of golden patina frames the the peripheries, adding to the eye appeal. Only 792 Proofs were struck. PCGS 6, NGC 1, CAC 5. One sold in March 2016, selling for $5,170, and prior to that, a non-CAC example sold back in May 209 for $6,038. There are four coins graded finer, but the only one to sell recently was the PR67+ DCAM we sold in our March 2019 sale of the Intense Cameo Collection.
