- Lot 389 1799 S-189 R2 PCGS graded VG10.Attractive glossy light to medium chocolate brown blending to olive brown in protected areas. The surfaces are smooth and the only notable marks are a vertical scratch in the field before the neck and two shallow pitmarks at the rim right of the face. LDS, Breen state V, with a clear die crack that meanders from the bust tip to the dentils. The date is quite bold and the legends are clear (although the tops of some letters on the lower part of the reverse are relatively weak. The die lump under the E in ONE is strong. A nice lower grade example of this tough date. Our grade is VG8+. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS #36140.Estimated Value $5,000 - UP From the Bob Willoughby Collection.
