Lot 215 1818 N-3 R3. PCGS graded MS-64 Red & Brown. CAC.Frosty bluish steel brown with 15% of the mint color remaining on each side. The surfaces are satiny and this cent has outstanding eye appeal. The only mark is a spot of slightly darker toning in the field before the forehead. M-LDS. The earlier lumps in the field before the portrait and spike up from the top of the coronet are no longer present. The reverse center dot is tiny but remains visible, and the reverse is rotated 40 degrees CCW. Called MS65 and CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #20635. Bland says MS63 and tied for CC#1. Our grade is MS64. The attribution and Great Pacific Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 3; the only ones graded RB at PCGS. (PCGS # 36608) Value $7,000 - UP Ex W.
