- Truly a well preserved, beautiful SUPERB GEM that is a wonderful example of this date or type. Bold, brilliant reflective fields have a flowing, watery flash that brings the totally original colorful toning to life. The obverse has a unique, mottled, somewhat streaky pattern to the golden and olive/clover-green hues, while the reverse is deeply toned with peach and rose-gold and violet-silver, tangerine, magenta, and pale blue toning. The eye appeal is really cool and very beautiful. Only 650 Proofs were struck. PCGS 14, NGC 17, CAC 4. There are three in PR67+ and just nine finer. None of the PR67+s have ever sold via auction. We sold a PR67 CAC in our March 2017 Premier Session for $5,250 hammer and we sold a PR68 CAC in our June 2019 Regency Auction for $14,100.
