What a FABULOUS GEM! WOW, WOW, WOW! This has to be among the most beautiful examples of this conditionally challenging date! Any Mint State 20-S nickel is scarce, GEM quality coins, like this one here are VERY RARE, especially with CAC approval. First off, the striking detail is much bolder than usually encountered for the date. Only a hint of softness on the Indian's braid is noted, but the buffalo is fully struck up. A strong mint luster glows vividly on both the obverse and reverse. The luster enhances bold pastel rainbow iridescent toning. Pale violet, pleasing pink, glowing gold, and wonderful greens and blues really come out in a light. This coin is absolutely GORGEOUS. The eye appeal is stunning! PCGS 30, NGC 17, CAC 4. Only one PCGS/CAC coin has ever sold in auction, in our December 2016 Regency Auction, realizing $15,275. That coin, while nice, was no where close to the eye appeal of this SUPERB looking GEM. Just a half dozen are graded finer, including a non-CAC MS65+ that sold for $33,000 in March 2021. This coin is absolutely beautiful and we think it will see very strong bidding. Good luck Cert.
