- Impressive Man'en Era Oban with Nearly Complete Ink JAPAN. Oban (10 Ryo), ND (1860-62). Man'en Era. PCGS AU-58 Gold Shield. Fr-7; KM-C-24a.2; JNDA-09-11. Weight: 111.73 gms. A popular and highly collectable large-format Japanese gold issue, this piece remains entirely wholesome with only light handling and no distracting marks. The inking has started to fade in some spots, but is still fully legible. A great overall example from the closing period of these oddly-shaped forms of coinage. Estimate: $12,000 - $15,000.
