As such, this is a prime candidate for anyone demanding the highest graded examples for their PCGS Registry Sets. This GEM represents the date on PCGS CoinFacts as the plate coin. Not only is this coin a solid GEM, it is totally original and wonderfully fresh, having been submitted for grading for the first time by our consignor just before consigning to our sale. The golden color is tinged with a warm honey and wheat tone. Every detail is sharply embossed into the surface of the coin, all the feather details are sharp and fully rendered. The surfaces are quite clean, with only the most minor trace of trivial chatter that often appears even on the highest graded specimens. Satiny luster glows vibrantly on both sides, enhancing a bold, visual allure. PCGS 4, NGC 0. None are graded finer at PCGS. As stated, this coin is FRESH to the market, having been in an old family holding before being submitted for grading.
