- Glossy chocolate brown with hints of red on the reverse. Surfaces are smooth with the exception of a couple of small nicks between the 8th and 9th obverse stars, noted for accuracy. The coin is really close to AU with light even wear only on the high points of the design. Scarcer than the large letters variety, with less than 75 medium letters coins in all grades by both services. PCGS 6, NGC 0. Listed in the PCGS Price Guide at $1,600. The single price recorded for this date at auction was $1,292 in March 2016. Clearly these are RARE and this is an important opportunity for the date and type collector. Cert.
