Most examples are low grade; even coins in VF are very rare and highly coveted. GEM Mint State pieces as seen here are avidly sought by advanced collectors. Virtually pristine surfaces are kissed with a hint of iridescent champagne and clear-gold toning over vibrantly lustrous fields and frosty devices. The devices show razor sharp definition from a powerful blow from the dies. Close inspection with a powerful loupe will find a tiny tick or two, but nothing worthy of singling out. The eye appeal is excellent in every way! PCGS 10, NGC 5. PCGS has graded just nine finer. The most recent non-CAC PCGS MS66 sold in August 2018 for $31,200 and prior to that, one sold for $37,600.
