One of the KEY dates of the Trade Dollar series, the final CC issue struck, and the last year struck for circulation at any of the mints. While this coin displays clear circulation, there are hints of semi-reflective luster that survive throughout the protected areas. We see some light marks under a strong glass. Pleasing dappled toning can be seen along the rims and devices. PCGS 14, NGC 1. The last one to sell realized $5,842 way back in June 2011. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,000. Clearly this is NOT a date or grade that appears with any frequency, and this presents a strong opportunity for anyone looking to add a pleasing example to their sets.
