详细说明: 1883-CC Liberty Half Eagle. MS-61 (NGC). This remarkably lustrous specimen exhibits lovely, light toning, and relatively trivial surface marks for the MS-61 grade. The design motifs are well struck, with no areas of mentionable weakness found on either side. A visually appealing example that ranks very high in the <em>Condition Census</em> for this issue as none have been ranked any higher by NGC. The finest is apparently an MS-63 certified by PCGS, while this current example is tied for second finest certified by either service. Notice the depth of the strike and the full luster and frost on the devices. These features -- strike and luster -- combine with the historic rarity of this issue to create a highly desirable half eagle. The actual <em>Condition Census</em> needs further research, but at present this example is tied with a few others as the second finest certified between both major grading services.
