- The 1926 quarter is a challenging coin to find with a full strike. It is also a difficult coin to find in Premium GEM grades, with or without the FH designation. The presently offered MS66+ FH combines both attributes, with fully struck up devices. Very lustrous surfaces have a touch of light blue and gold that can be seen when you rotate the surfaces in a light. Essentially every detail is sharply impressed, with all three leaves and Liberty's hairline fully visible and all the shield brads are fully rendered. A strong glass reveals a few trivial contact marks, but nothing that distracts the eye. The visual allure is excellent. PCGS 10, NGC 1. The only one of these to sell realized $8,750 in a June 2019 internet auction, but was CAC approved. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $8,000. There are just three graded finer at PCGS, the only one of those to sell brought $63,250 in October 2011. This is a great coin, clearly among the FINEST and worth a premium bid! Cert.
